Nono Malefane

Deputy President

Nono Malefane serves as Senior Director for Government Affairs at Visa, overseeing government relations across 48 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Johannesburg, she leads strategic engagement with governments, central banks, and development institutions to advance digital payments and financial inclusion across the continent.

With over 15 years of experience in government relations, public policy, and consulting, Nono has previously held senior roles at Absa Group and EY. She holds an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

 

 

Hellen Mogashoa

Hellen Mogashoa is a seasoned public policy, corporate affairs and government-relations leader based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She holds a BCom Honours from University of the Witwatersrand and a LLB from University of South Africa. Currently, Hellen serves as the Corporate & Government Affairs Lead for Microsoft South Africa (the CELA-SA region) — a role in which she drives policy advocacy, regulatory engagement and stakeholder partnerships across the public, private and civic sectors.

Neil Pollock is a South-African business leader with a strong track record in supply-chain analytics, procurement, and executive coaching. He currently leads ProcureTrade, a company that helps enterprises across mining, utilities and oil & gas sectors unlock capital and optimise procurement, inventory and maintenance processes. In addition to his corporate roles, Neil has contributed to organised business in South Africa: He has served as Past President of the Randburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) and is involved as a director of the same organisation.

Collen Dlamini

Collen Dlamini is the Managing Director of VMCo Advisory, a boutique public affairs and cultural diplomacy consultancy, events & conference producer. He is also the head of public affairs for Investing in African Mining Indaba, the largest investment mining conference in Africa. Collen has been involved in promoting and enabling opportunities in various industries including, technology, media, entertainment and mining industries in South Africa and beyond for decades. He has been an Executive Producer of global events including, SA Night at World Economic Forum in Davos, YouRSA 2024 in New York, Creative Cnergy in Johannesburg to name a few. Collen Dlamini has worked with and advised corporations, governments, brands and agencies on the reputation management, strategic communications, regulatory affairs and public policy.Collen was educated at University of South Africa, The Gordon Institute of Business Science and the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.”

Linda Grimbeek

Linda Grimbeek is a South African business-and-tourism leader, currently appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business & Tourism (KLCBT) in the Ehlanzeni District, Mpumalanga Province. She has been instrumental in advancing the Chamber’s mandate of championing local business, tourism, infrastructure improvement and regional advocacy. For example, she succeeded to the CEO role in 2025, following her tenure as Chief Operating Officer. Linda is widely regarded as a connector between tourism-rich local economies and business development, particularly in a region shaped by both nature-based tourism (including the Kruger National Park) and export/logistics potential.

Nicolaas van Wyk is a reform-minded business leader with over a decade of experience advancing ethical commerce, professional excellence, and economic inclusion. As CEO of CIBA, he transformed the organisation from 300 to over 10,000 members, building partnerships with SARS, CIPC, DHET, ANNET, ROLESA and SACCI to align business and policy goals.

 

He founded initiatives such as the SME Launch Platform, supporting over 50,000 new enterprises monthly, and the International CFO Alliance, linking 15 global CFO associations.

 

Nicolaas envisions SACCI as a unifying force for sustainable economic growth, connecting business leadership, government collaboration, and community prosperity.

Lindi Nxumalo

Lindi Nxumalo is a senior communications and stakeholder-management executive in South Africa. She holds a leadership role at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, where she has served as Head of Stakeholder Management and Communications Risk & Sustainability. Her professional background includes directing the stakeholder relations and communications portfolio within Eskom, indicating strong experience in managing external audiences, government/regulator engagement, and internal communications strategy. 

Andrea De Souza

Andrea began her career as an attorney before transitioning into the role of in-house counsel for a prominent steel manufacturing company. Drawing on her extensive experience in the steel sector, she subsequently built a commercial career centered around the complexities of manufacturing and industrial operations. Most recently, she was part of the core leadership team responsible for transforming a legacy steelworks into a dynamic, multi-industry industrial park.

Now serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Highveld Industrial Park, Andrea brings together her legal acumen, strategic capability, and passion for sustainability and innovation. In her role, she is dedicated to advancing industrialisation while addressing the challenges faced by modern operators. Her focus is on cultivating an enabling ecosystem where industries can thrive, and on developing a value-driven model that delivers meaningful and long-term impact.

Sebastien de Place

Sebastien de Place is a French national who has called South Africa home for the past decade. At 40, he is deeply committed to the country and the African continent, with a strong passion for attracting international investment to drive sustainable development and economic growth.

Sebastien’s interest in joining the SACCI Board stems from this same motivation—to actively enhance South Africa’s visibility and appeal to global investors. As of November 2025, he assumed the role of SACCI Board Director, bringing with him a decade of experience serving on boards of business associations in South Africa.

He is a Partner at Forvis Mazars South Africa, based in Johannesburg, and serves on the national Executive Committee as Head of Clients and Markets. In this role, he leads business development initiatives and coordinates strategic missions across Africa for international clients. Sebastien is actively engaged in South Africa’s business community, currently serving as President of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE) and as a Director of the French-South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Forvis Mazars is a leading international audit, tax, and advisory firm with more than 1,000 professionals in South Africa. Globally, the firm operates in over 110 countries—including 25 across Africa—with a workforce of more than 40,000 professionals, 3,500 of whom are based on the continent.

Sebastien commits to actively participating in SACCI working groups and events, promoting the Chamber’s mission, and fostering collaboration with other chambers where he is an active member, including the American, German, and French Chambers of Commerce.

Albert Jeleni

Dr Albert Jeleni is an entrepreneur and consultant with more than 23 years of multidisciplinary experience. He has led transformative projects across the water, infrastructure, and business development sectors, with expertise spanning Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability systems, public–private partnerships (PPPs), industrial and resource economics, and local economic development (LED).

Dr Jeleni began his career in the Department of Water Affairs, where he helped design and implement South Africa’s first National Water Pricing Strategy—a reform and cost-reflective tariff regime that commercialised over R1.2 billion in national infrastructure. As a consultant in water resource management, he continues to develop strategies and annual operating rules that prevent water scarcity and flooding, safeguarding the economy from disruption across key sectors—agriculture (over R160 billion GDP contribution), energy (over R300 billion), industry and infrastructure (over R250 billion), and municipal services.

He is the Founding President of both the Limpopo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the National Union of Municipal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (NUMCCI). Through his Chamber Presidency, and Private Consultancy in the business development sector, Dr Jeleni has spearheaded initiatives that revitalised the Limpopo economy and also supported other provinces through private-sector mobilisation, industrial clustering, enterprise development, and innovation-driven growth.

Dr Jeleni holds a PhD in Local Economic Development from the University of Venda, an MSc in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Pretoria, a Master in International Executive Development from GIBS, a BSc (Hons) in Industrial and Financial Systems, and a BSc in Computational and Applied Mathematics, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also completed the Advanced Management Development Programme (University of Pretoria), Environmental and Resource Economics (Rhodes University), and Project Management, and holds Assessor and Facilitator accreditations through the ETDP SETA. He is currently pursuing a BCom Law degree with the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Recognised as one of South Africa’s leading system architects in economic governance, Dr Jeleni combines academic insight, policy innovation, and practical implementation to advance inclusive industrialisation, ethical governance, and sustainable local economic transformation.

Xoli Moagi

Xoli Moagi is a South African business-leader, entrepreneur and advocate for women and youth empowerment. She is the Director of NMX Conglomerate, a construction-related enterprise that holds a CIDB grading of 6GB/6CE and is active in infrastructure & building projects. She also serves as Deputy President of South African Women in Construction & Engineering (SAWIC & BE) National, where she champions the advancement of women in the construction and engineering sectors. Additionally, she is involved with the North West Chamber of Commerce & Industry (likely in a leadership capacity) and uses her role in business / industry networks to support entrepreneurial empowerment for youth and women. 

Moeketsi Mpotu

Moeketsi Mpotu is a South-African mechanical engineer and industrial business leader based in Mpumalanga province. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and has completed an Executive Development Programme certificate at the same university. Additionally, he holds professional certificates in risk-based inspection from the Steinbeis Transfer Institute in Germany. Moeketsi Mpotu stands out because he blends deep technical expertise with regional economic leadership. He doesn’t just lead engineering teams, but is also driving SME development, industrial localisation and infrastructure growth in a high-impact region of South Africa. His work spans from locomotive engineering and maintenance to driving the business ecosystem via the chamber and industrial initiatives.
