Voice of Business

The South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its almost 35 constituent chambers is a lifeline for business people.

The Voice of Business

SACCI's vision is to be the voice and preeminent business chamber organisation, by offering superior value to its stakeholders, lobbies for and represents the collective interests, domestic and foreign, of South African businesses. Our mission is to effectively protect and promote the interests of business.

Lobbying & Advocacy

We represent the business interests by influencing policy and legislative development and regulation. We engage government and legislatures or regulators in respect of certain of the regulations or pieces of legislation that we think would not be conducive for our business members or the economy in general or job creation. We are consulted in a lot of the policy that government looks at.

SACCI Membership

SACCI remains the most broadly based representative national business body, not only in South Africa, but in Southern Africa, focusing primarily on national and international issues.

SACCI's
7 Pillars

SACCI must use its best efforts to encourage investment and trade in South Africa and the region to advance sustainable economic growth and the creation of quality jobs  across the sectors

We must advance, lobby and promote beneficial relationships in the regulatory, policy and legislative space. This will include political action initiatives in the regulatory and legislative areas to advance the broader interests of business. Leverage our relationships with private entities to build capacity.

Promote and lobby government, business, investors, for conditions necessary for the promotion  and development of start-ups, SME’s and the  growth of existing businesses. Manufacturing, minerals beneficiation and industrialisation to be at the core of entrepreneurship.

SACCI to promote and lobby for the development of the necessary  infrastructure for economic growth and to bring South Africa and the region into a modernising economy. Focus should be given to investment in gas lines, grid lines, rail lines and fibre optic telecomms lines

Lobby, drive and encourage  both formally and informally. Trade and Investment cooperation with other business formations and governments in the African continent, Europe, Asia, North America, South America and  the Middle East.

Identify, scale up SACCI capacity for income generation as a platform for value added services to members and business in general

Design value proposition in respect of benefits, incentives and rewards to SACCI members in an effort to stay relevant, recruit,  attract and retain members to SACCI and its broad affiliates. SACCI must place itself as the preeminent business organisation in Africa and offer to its current and potential members a value which has strategic  competitive advantage.
