uk trade and investment-smlBusinesses are invited to an outward mission to London in the United Kingdom during 20 -24 September 2010.  This mission is a direct initiative resulting from the State Visit made by President Zuma and South African businesses in March this year, where both countries through our Ministers, have tasked UK Trade & Investment and the South African Department of Trade and Industry in the doubling of bi-lateral trade and investment from £9bn in the next five years.

The UK is South Africa’s premier league of trading partners, with a bilateral relationship worth over £9bn per annum.  This is set to double following commitments made by Ministers during the recent SA State visit, ensuring the UK remains one of the South Africa’s key foreign direct investment partners. We’d like you to be part of this valuable relationship.

Even as businesses all over the world tackle the challenges of the economic downturn, the city of London maintains its status as a world leader in international finance and business services, excelling in a range of services from banking to carbon trading, actuaries to insurance, and Islamic finance to management consultancy and training.

UK Trade and Investment will organise a programme of events to include gaining exclusive access to a high-level financial services forum for you explore business and investment opportunities across a number of sectors in the UK; options for raising finance outside of Africa; and one-2-one meetings with like-minded businesses.  In addition to other complimentary networking opportunities, a business round table will be hosted by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Nick Antsee, who represents UK based financial services and who is very familiar with the South African market, following his visit here in March this year.

All costs will be for your own account.  Confirm your interest by 2 August 2010 by completing and returning the rsvp form - click here to download the form.
